The signs of Jesus’ return marked through the events of the nations

And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. 2 Samuel 7:12

All things that happen on the face of the earth have a cause that promotes them, and it is not necessarily a physical cause. The events to which all the nations of the world are subjected respond to a spiritual raison d’être.

It is a raison d’être of prophetic nature, mainly to put on record to this or that nation that God visited them at some point of their history and tried to establish His revelation among them. This principle of the manifestation of God’s mercy toward all nations of the world is evidenced in the Words of Jesus when he taught about the cities that accepted his teaching versus those that rejected it:

The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here. 42The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here. Matthew 12:41-42

The history of nations does not run alone; it is not subject to the isolated actions of their inhabitants, even if they are the most atheistic and perverse of all the earth. God intervenes among the nations and establishes prophetic cycles among them. Cases like those of Nebuchadnezzar, in Babylon,

Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face, and worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odours unto him. 47The king answered unto Daniel, and said, of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret. Daniel 2:46-47

And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation: 35And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou? Daniel 4:34-35

And Cyrus, king of the Persians, shows us how God intervenes over all the nations of the earth, ordaining their histories not according to an uncontrolled destiny, but according to a salvific plan duly notified at the time.

Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the LORD God of heaven given me; and he hath charged me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people? The LORD his God be with him, and let him go up. 2 Chronicles 36:23

God has marked throughout the history stages of prophetic development, and men of understanding have been able to see them, and have moved in the Spirit of their revelation.

Abraham received from God that his descendants would be pilgrims in a strange land, but that they would return as a nation to the fourth generation to recover the land in inheritance.

But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full. Genesis 15:16

Because of this, Joseph, who was originally sold by his brothers, understood that his arrival in Egypt was for the preservation of the life of his people,[1] that his stay in Egypt was temporary and gave instructions that when they returned to their homeland they would leave carrying his bones.[2]

In the same way Daniel, he knew in which moment of history his people would be free to return to their land.

In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. Daniel 9:2

And he even received instruction from an angel that seventy weeks of years, that is, four hundred and ninety years, were determined to put an end to the transgression of his people in exile, and that at the end of that time the Messiah would be anointed.[3]

Time would be lacking to present so many other cases of men and women of faith who saw how the prophetic stages of God’s agenda on the nations developed. The apostle Peter explains that none of the men and women of faith of the past were oblivious to the unfolding events of history.

Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. 1st. Peter 1.11

We are not exempt from this divine intervention. Our time is also part of prophetic cycles, and in recent weeks we have witnessed how various world events have stressed the emphasis of this cycle of revelation in preparation for the second coming of Jesus.

In recent days, we have witnessed a unique event, more than seventy world leaders gathered in Paris, France, to commemorate the Armistice Day, the date when World War I ended.

A hundred years ago, at 11 a.m., on the 11th day of the 11th month, the World War I ended; but the date would have greater meaning not only because of what was left behind but more because of the time that began on that date. November 11, 1918, was the beginning of a time of worldwide commitment to peace, but above all, to the unification of nations.

Last Sunday, November 11, 2018, the world leaders gathered in Paris, France, among them Israel, validated this unification of nations initiated one hundred years ago.

Where does this world event lead us? This event leads us to see how Israel is introduced into the framework of world prominence.

Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. 2Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD’S hand double for all her sins. Isaiah 40:1-2

The time of the margination for Israel is over, the time of persecuted among nations is over; and for now, Israel it is gaining space among the greatest to decide on the world’s future of nations.

At no other time has Israel had as much global participation as at this time, nor has any other Israeli prime minister had as much global exposure as Netanyahu has.

Netanyahu is the first Israeli Prime Minister to visit Latin America. (Yahoo news, 2017) In just over a year he has visited Kazakhstan, Singapore, Australia and five African countries. (EFE, 2017) Recently, Netanyahu’s unexpected visit to Oman uncovered secret contacts with Gulf countries. (Moses, 2018) And, what is already known by all, the recognition by the United States of America of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

If the reader looks closely at the reading of Isaiah chapter forty, the reader will observe that just after the prophet declares on God’s behalf that the time is already accomplished, verse three immediately establishes the theme of the return of the Messiah. It is the final stretch of the history of salvation, we are approaching the moment of the return of Jesus to the earth.

The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. 4Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: 5And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it. Isaiah 40:3-5

Like John the Baptist in his time, who prepared the manifestation of Jesus to his people, the current prophetic stage is making a platform for Elijah’s voice that establishes and promotes the conciliation of the present with the past of Israel, as well as the reunification of father’s heart with the son’s heart.

And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. Luke 1:17

The marked cycle is the end of the time of the Gentiles to give way to the restoration of Israel, as established in the revelation of the Holy Spirit given to the apostle Paul,

For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in. 26And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: Romans 11:25-26

However, something is happening with the United States of America. Donald Trump unlike his predecessors is pulling his nation out of the unification of nations, and making it one, into a self-sufficient nation. Why? This, too, is prophetic.

In earlier writings we have identified Donald Trump as the man that executed my counsel, according to Isaiah’s prophecy,

Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it. Isaiah 46:11

On November 11th, President Emmanuele Macron criticized Trump’s nationalism labeled for his famous expression, “America First,” and warned that nationalism is the betrayal of patriotism. According to Macron, to whom many other European leaders joined, this nationalism was what led the world to a military confrontation a hundred years ago. (Tribune News Service, 2018)

However, isn’t Trump’s “nationalism” the same thing that Israel had approved months ago as the Law of the Nation-State? (Wootliff, 2018) The two countries are walking the same path even though they did not plan it that way.

There is no doubt that the United States is going through a difficult trial. In the next few days, we will also see the Central American caravan of more than three thousand people arrive at the border between the United States and Mexico. The eyes of the entire world are on the United States. How prophetic is all this?

This U.S. way of proceeding is marking the prophetic time of the emergence of an army of men and women of faith who are led by the Holy Spirit in a supernatural way, as was the people of Israel when they left Egypt,

Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to shew you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day. Deuteronomy 1:33

It is an army without ecclesial commitment or denominational ties that will live in a dependence of faith, deed and word, to prepare the way for the second coming of Jesus.

Now, what is incumbent upon us to understand about this new prophetic stage that is just beginning is that the preparation to enter it is through scarcity. Many will suffer apparent losses, others will see their maintenance scarce; resources will be lacking, alliances will fail, and many will believe that this does not come from God.

This way of proceeding is to question the faith and convictions of those who profess to be believers, and of those who sustain a priestly ministry of the Gospel of the Kingdom, to know where the source of their strength is.

God will be leading His people to learn to hope in Him, and to receive from Him the provision for all their operations, and it will be in a supernatural way.

Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid. Isaiah 29:14

The fourth sign of Jesus that the Gospel of John presents speaks to us precisely of this supernatural way of God’s operation. It is the multiplication of the five barley loaves and the two small fishes among a multitude of over five thousand men, not counting women and children.

Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, this is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world. John 6:14

This principle of the God’s power manifestation is not a new principle, but the Holy Spirit is emphasizing it in this time as a tool of righteousness to establish the kingdom of God over the regions of the earth.

Let us observe it in the writings of the book of Deuteronomy,

And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. 4Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years. Deuteronomy 8:3-4

  • Let’s notice the order of this learning protocol; first of all,

And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger

How can God starve us? Chapter itself gives us the answer,

To know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no. (verse. 2)

  • After this first step, of scarcity, is when the manna comes:

And fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know;

There is so much talk of a revival that is coming soon, but it does not say what kind of revival is, and who will enjoy it.

What is clear is that this revival is not ecclesial, but of faith, of a scriptural foundation, of firmness, of security in what we have believed,

Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. Job 22:28

The psalmist David states that this is a revival of praise for the Glory that is to be manifested in us,

Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them. 6Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools. 7They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God. Psalm 84:5-7

We are living in prophetic times, the history of the nations testifies to the times of God. These are glorious days that those who have attuned their senses will be able to see the most beautiful work of God on earth.

It is God’s agenda, let us seek the Lord, let us count on Him, let us recognize Him in all our ways, let us thank God in everything, let us glory in tribulation, let us make others share in our goods, let us bless even those who hate us, that by doing this we are preparing the way of the Lord.

Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Isaiah 55:1

At the close of the edition. Note added on December 1st, 2018.

So important is this date and what happened on it that the earth itself has borne witness to the fact.

Strange waves rippled around the world, and nobody knows why: Instruments picked up the seismic waves more than 10,000 miles away—but bizarrely, nobody felt them.

On the morning of November 11, just before 9:30 UT, a mysterious rumble rolled around the world.

The seismic waves began roughly 15 miles off the shores of Mayotte, a French island sandwiched between Africa and the northern tip of Madagascar. The waves buzzed across Africa, ringing sensors in Zambia, Kenya, and Ethiopia. They traversed vast oceans, humming across Chile, New Zealand, Canada, and even Hawaii nearly 11,000 miles away. (Wei-Haas, 2018)
