Sin and its Spiritual Foundation

Sin is not only a deviation or inclination towards evil, proper to human nature, it is a spiritual argument provoked by Satan to have the right of operation and intervention among the human race.

God did not design, nor did he create sin to cohabitate with man. For two reasons we affirm it and corroborate it with the same Scriptures,

First, the expression, and God saw that it was good, from each of the first five days of the Creation of his work, together with the, and God saw that it was very good, from the sixth day, proves that in its design, God ordered all things so harmoniously, in such a way that something deviated as sin and evil would have no place in them. Sin and evil are no good things.

Second, the Scriptures give clear testimony that He sustains all things. If He sustains them, His Holiness does not allow that anything ‎wrong as sin and evil to originate from inside him, and placed as part of his Creation. This is an inalienable foundation principle of the Kingdom of Heaven.

And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. Colossians 1:17

For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. Hebrews 2:10

God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Acts 17:24

Sin is not God’s creation, but satanic. It was ‎designed and introduced in the world by Satan to ‎establish and maintains man in captivity. The Epistle to ‎the Romans states that sin entered the world by a man.‎‎

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Romans 5:12

But, notwithstanding, in despite of it was introduced in the world, sin is not ‎located in any place of the world, it is coexisting within human ‎nature. The world’s matter just it was subject to ‎vanity, but not to sin.

For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Romans 8:20

This means that sin is not part of world matter but an endemic evil of human nature. This leads us to understand that sin is a condition, not a state.

Speaking about the fundaments of sin ‎as a condition of human nature, the apostle Paul wrote to ‎the faith community in Roma that sin it moves and manifest in the ‎members of the body,

For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. 20Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 21I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. 22For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: 23But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind (spirit), and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. Romans 7:19-23

But, in despite that sin it moves and manifest in ‎members of the body, sin is not flesh. Just it manifests ‎through the flesh, and that due the Adamic nature. Sin is spiritual in nature. One of the ‎greatest failures, in matters of religion, which has been ‎recorded in the history of the church, is to believe that sin ‎is in the flesh.

It was this medieval interpretation that led many ‎monastic groups and hermits to punish the flesh, to ‎isolate themselves from others, and to develop penances ‎and pilgrimages, so that with such punishments ‎could control sinful inclinations.‎‎‎

Although the apostle Paul uses the term, flesh, as that the sin is in the members of his body, he uses it to identify the ‎Adamic heritage that made us all sinners. He ‎refers to man’s sinful tendency‎, not to identify that the flesh is sin.

What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; Romans 3:9

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23

Sin is spiritual in nature. For two reasons we affirm it, and we corroborate it by the Scriptures,

First, because Jesus was made flesh,

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14

Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; Romans 1:3

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; Hebrews 2:14

But there was no sin in Him,

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2nd. Corinthians 5:21

Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: 1st. Peter 2:22

And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 1st. John 3:5

Second, since death is because of sin,

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

And since Jesus did not die because of the crucifixion, but because He gave up the spirit,

No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. John 10:18

Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. Mathew 27:50

It means that sin is not flesh, although manifest in the members of body. Sin is a condition of a spiritual nature, not an issue of matter.

The basis of sin is the deformation of the Word of ‎the Creator. It is a spiritual process by which Satan ‎transfers the Word to his power, in usurpation, and ‎establishes it evil.

What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. Romans 7:7

This is the argument and spiritual process under which Satan creates apostasy.

The clearest example that we have, is the case of ‎the serpent that deceives Eve and induces her to eat the ‎fruit of which God forbade them to eat. The revision of ‎the dialogue and the words of the serpent to Eve show the ‎process of usurpation and deformation of the Word of God with ‎which the serpent seduce Eve to enter into the condition of sin.

You will not die; it is the term that shows the usurpation of the Word,

But God knows, it is the term that Satan charges with a high content of ‎evil. The acceptance of that word by Eva, soon ‎both Adam and Eve, will incur in sin.‎‎

For that reason, the Word cannot be used to argue ‎or discuss with it. Doing so establishes idolatry and false ‎worship,

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 2nd. Thessalonians 2:4

The apostasy, the false prophets, the false ‎doctrines, the proliferation of pagan religious rituals ‎stigmatized as Christian worship processes, are formations of sin ‎that Satan builds around communities of faith to ‎undermine their spiritual developments.

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 2nd. Corinthians 4:4

Sin is not reduced to an “action”. The person is not a sinner because of his actions, she is a sinner even when there is no action in between. The actions simply reveal the type of deviation or inclination towards sin.

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Mathew 7:20

The type of action serves to evaluate the areas of sin tendency that must be worked on to remove the yoke of Satan over the person. It shows in the apostle Paul’s instruction to community of faith of Ephesians.

That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; Ephesians 4:22

Notice that just right after this instruction, the apostle cites a series of examples of “actions” that must be eliminated.

Wherefore (1)putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another. 26(2)Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: 27(3)Neither give place to the devil. 28Let him that stole (4)steals no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. 29(5)Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. 30(6)And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31(7)Let all bitterness, and (8)wrath, and (9)anger, and(1) clamor, and (11)evil speaking, be put away from you, with (12)all malice: Ephesians 4:25-31

The text identified twelve examples of sin actions, ‎originally normal acts to them. These sin actions now show how Satan subjugated the inhabitants of this ‎region. The actions reveal the type of deviation towards sin.

Sin is subjection to Satan. It is not about “errors”, conscious or unconscious, committed under the pressure of any particular situation, it is an authority and subjection that Satan maintains on the person, the families, the communities, the regions.

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 5And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 6Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. 7Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 1st. John 3:4-9

The sinful tendencies are evidences of the presence ‎and establishment of Satan, and of the movement of the ‎kingdom of darkness. The major problem to identify the ‎sin tendency, or evil presence, is that in many cases, the sin ‎actions have become the personality of each one.

The Scriptures point out that for someone who has been born again, of water and of the Spirit, sin no longer has jurisdiction over him. That means the body of sin has been crucified together with Jesus.

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?… 6Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7For he that is dead is freed from sin. Romans 6:1-7

The warfare against sin is a real spiritual warfare, fought in the flesh, not in the mind as some claim.

Sin is a power that is established in people, in families, and even over entire regions. The process begins with a seed of evil that is born in the heart of a person, or a family. When the seed of evil germinates, sinful actions are generated with the purpose to establishing the power of sin in the environment of those who originate it. Then, other characters will be responsible for feeding and multiplying the power of sin with more similar evil actions. We are at the birth of a principality of sin united to families and region.

These people are people ‎prepared by Satan, in many cases, since their birth to be used as ‎seedbeds of evil, to eventually build over them ‎principalities of sin. With the principalities of sin come ‎death and destruction over the region.

In all cases, the raw material for every principality ‎of sin is evil. It is usually a person who originates this ‎seed, and becomes the founder of the principality of sin.‎

Notice how apostle Paul advice about the death ‎process that enter in a region as consequence of the ‎principalities of sin.

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Romans 5:12

The spiritual warfare against principalities of sin is one of the strongest ‎wars that man and woman of faith face. The strength of warfare is not based on evil type, but on ‎the satanic covenants that sinful men and women make ‎with Satan through every sinful action they perform.

It can see in the evil of Sodom y Gomorra that ‎the strength consisted in the sinful actions of their ‎inhabitants.‎‎‎

But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter: 5And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them. 6And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him, 7And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly. 8Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof. Genesis 19:4-8

For that reason, the warfare against sin begins when the man and the woman of faith learn to denunciate and punish all sin and all own disobedience, proper, to get rid of all condemnation that Satan issues for unreported sins.

And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. 2nd. Corinthians 10:6

Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Ephesians 2:2

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Ephesians 5:6

Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 1st. Timothy 1:9
